Travelling – it leaves you speechless, and then turns you into a storyteller- Ibn Battuta
There is nothing that describes Ankita Gupta so aptly, as the word ‘Travelholic’! Hailing from a small town in Northern India, Ankita had the opportunity to live and work in 10 different cities across 5 different states of her home country. These initial moves helped open her up to various cultures and unique flavours that each Indian state had to offer.
Ankita’s perception of travel has always extended beyond mere exploration. Travel for her is a gateway to expand her worldview, deepen her understanding of people, and a chance to find a sense of fulfilment. This insatiable desire for new experiences has taken her to over 75 countries across all 7 continents - and yes, including Antarctica!
From paragliding in the Swiss Alps to skydiving in Australia, from bungee jumping in New Zealand to hot air ballooning in Turkey, and from backpacking across Tanzania to self-driven road trips in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and many countries across Europe, longest being from Slovenia all the way to Bulgaria, Ankita has already ticked off most things that feature on every traveller’s bucket list.
Yet there’s more! Her most memorable moments include shark cage diving in Cape Town, camping under the Aurora Borealis in Iceland & Norway, experiencing the polar silence while camping in Antarctica and braving the bone-chilling tradition of the Polar Plunge in Antarctica. Following close on the heels of these unparalleled experiences soon, will be the ultimate Arctic adventure – an expedition to the North Pole.
Learning to balance travel with work is something Ankita has managed with ease throughout her career. A seasoned Human Resources professional, she held senior positions with leading global organizations for over 18 years, with her employers ranging from fashion and lifestyle retail to wine & spirits industries, primarily in the luxury segment.
Ankita has almost always travelled solo, but making friends along the way comes naturally to her. With her deep passion for exploration, coupled with experience in understanding diverse global cultures and an appreciation for the finer things in life, Ankita possesses a unique talent for curating travel adventures that are truly one-of-a-kind.
